Missing Child In Calgary, Alberta — Eieyana MARKO, 10

We’re asking the public for their help to locate a missing 10-year-old girl who was last seen in the northwest community of Bowness earlier today.

Eieyana MARKO was last seen leaving her home in the 4600 block of 84 Street N.W., at approximately 2 p.m. today. When she didn’t return home, her parents reported her missing to police. Officers and her family are concerned for her safety and wellbeing.

It is believed she could be traveling on-foot or possibly on a Calgary Transit bus, and has been known to frequent the downtown CORE Shopping Centre and surrounding area.

MARKO is described as 4’ tall, 80 pounds, with curly shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a light-coloured tie-dye hoodie, possibly with a red shirt underneath, a black backpack with an Anime stuffed pillow attached, and possibly a leather jacket in her backpack.

A photo of MARKO is available on the City of Calgary Newsroom.

At this time, there is nothing to indicate foul play is involved. Although this case does not meet the threshold for an AMBER Alert, we are working with our partners at the Missing Children Society of Canada to issue an alert in hopes of locating MARKO.

Anyone who knows of MARKO’s whereabouts is asked to call the Calgary Police Service at 403–266–1234. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers through either of the following methods:
