Vancouver Police request the public’s assistance to locate 67-year-old Brian Barbour, who hasn’t been seen or heard from since last week.

Barbour, who has Alzheimer’s, was last seen on September 14, when he left his building near East Hastings and Hawks Avenue. Barbour is a shut-in who rarely leaves home, and he relies on neighbours for support. His sudden disappearance is out of character, and VPD investigators believe he may have trouble finding his way home.

Barbour is Caucasian, about 5’7″, and weighs 150 pounds. He has long grey hair and a full beard. He was wearing dark pants, a dark jacket, grey shoes, and a black baseball cap with white writing on the front. When he left home, he had a red ten-speed bike with straight handle bars and a yellow milk crate strapped to the back.

Anyone who sees Brian Barbour or finds his bike is asked to call 9–1–1 and remain with him until first responders arrive.
