Two Missing Youth From Burnaby, BC — Layla Travers, 14 & Kaiden Vanderveen, 16

Burnaby RCMP is asking for the public’s assistance in locating 14-year-old Layla Travers and 16-year-old Kaiden Vanderveen. The teens were last seen in the 7000-block of 14th Avenue at approximately 12:00 p.m., Monday, October 3, 2022.

Both youths are new to Burnaby and would be unfamiliar with the surrounding area. The families of both youths are concerned for their well-being and are unable to reach them.

Layla is described as:

Caucasian female
14 years old
5'7"
140 pounds
Short blonde/brown hair

Layla was last seen wearing:

Grey sweater
Black track pants

Kaiden is described as:

Caucasian male
16 years old
5'9"
160 pounds

Kaiden was last seen wearing:

Red sweater
Black pants
Red shoes

Police are asking anyone who may have seen Layla and Kaiden or have information on their whereabouts to call the Burnaby RCMP at 604–646–9999. It they wish to remain anonymous, they can call Crime Stoppers at 1–800–222–8477 (TIPS).
