The Vernon RCMP is appealing to the public for help tracking down a man still missing after over a year.

Rory McDonald, 59, was last seen in the 3300-block of 35 Avenue in Vernon on May 16, 2021, and criminality is suspected in his disappearance.

In his absence, the family is hoping the public will do right by his motto “Everyone is good people” and bring forward any information to the police.

McDonald is described as a Caucasian male who is six-foot-five and weighs roughly 230 pounds with short white hair, a moustache and goatee. He also has a tattoo of a unicorn on his left bicep.

McDonald was last seen wearing a black Volcom brand t-shirt, blue jeans, grey and black skater shoes and he was carrying a large black backpack.

Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen two vehicles in any rural area or remote locations within the North Okanagan area between May 16 and May 21, 2021.
